TOP TOOLS & TIPS FOR TWITTER A Guide For Newbies By Kate Hartley     Top Twitter Tips & Tools For Beginners (Fantastic Decoder Video)   I’m a newbie to Twitter.  Recently I’ve been building out the digital side of my business and I realized that I would need to harness social media in order to help to build trust around my products and the type of therapies I offer. I already had a Facebook page, so to create my Facebook fan page was a fairly simple process, but I had no idea about how to navigate Twitter nor about Twitter etiquette. The last thing I wanted to do was to create buzz about doing the wrong things at the wrong times. Why you need to listen to the Keith’s podcast!! “Crack the Twitter Code”      Around 9,000 tweets are tweeted every second.  That means 540,000 per minute and 780 million tweets per day!  Statista.com states that in the first quarter of 2016, Twitter has over 310 million active Twitter users.   These figures are huge and mean two things:   (1) That I need to know how to use Twitter effectively to make the most of belonging to a massive social media platform and (2) That among all these tweets, how was I going to get my tweets seen and even better, lead to links to my website and blog, likes and retweets?   The Crack the Twitter Code podcast has taught me everything I need to know about using Twitter effectively from setting up a strong bio to using tools to analyze and enhance my and...
FINDING SHELTER IN THE STORM

FINDING SHELTER IN THE STORM

FINDING SHELTER IN THE STORM Guest Blog Post By Mark Lupul (Profilze)    Has it ever occurred to you that social media is like a storm?  But storms aren’t all that bad are they? After all, witnessing lightning strikes and the rumbling aftermath can be a beautiful thing. Take Aaron Gordon, for example, when he mesmerized the world at NBA slam dunk competition or when International Women’s Day saw the internet blow-up with Kim Kardashian’s and Emily Ratajkowski’s selfie. I’ll guarantee that you’ll witness stuff you want to see and stuff you don’t; and regardless of how desirable this content is, you’ll be overwhelmed by the amount of it. Social networks are in business to feed you information or junk, rather, in all shapes and sizes. That is until a genius discovers an algorithm that reads your brain that gives you the junk you actually want to see. For now, it’s difficult to get your content so you better open up that UmbrELLO (see that Ello reference?) and embrace the storm.   What Google’s CMO Has To Say About The Storm   The other day I attended a digital marketing conference where I had the pleasure of listening to Fab Dolan, the CMO of Google Canada.  He shared some fascinating and candid stories about the digital marketing industry. One particular nugget that stuck out was his assessment of how we go about digesting the web. He shared that he gets a ton complaints about YouTube’s videos. People are always concerned about the amount of junk and perceivably low-quality content being uploaded. Why would someone use a website that has one...

HOW TO OVERCOME OVERWHELM 3 Ways To Beat The Heat & Control The Burn Guest Blog Post By Jaime Boots   Keeping up with Social Media (and life in general) can seem overwhelming these days. Each time we move in the direction of solution “BOOM”  we are hit with another blow that seems to knock out any momentum gained. It can be overpowering but what if you believed that you could subdue the storm? What if you realized you could eliminate its control over your life? What if you were certain that you could be victorious and take back what’s yours? What if you knew how to stop feeding the fire and let it fizzle, wither, and die… never to reduce your power in such a way again? Here’s a rundown of 3 ways to find the function that your overwhelm buried.      (1) Let some of it burn   If there’s a fire ripping through your life, you can use it to your advantage and let it burn some of the ideas/tasks/obligations/chores/decisions to be cleansed out of your life. Are you depleting yourself? Trying to be too much to too many people? This leads to feeling like a crazy person and not actually doing the majority of the stuff you want to do. And for some reason the stuff that you ARE doing is the junk you could give a rip about. What needs to be let go? (I am not saying that you have to let it go forever… let’s not be dramatic.) Take a look at all of “the everything” and see what can be...
