(@KeithKeller) February 11, 2018 WHY TWITTER IS THE BRAND BUILDER ((Video))   Mireille Ryan:  So how do you use Twitter for business? Keith Keller:  It’s really a “Brand Builder”.” I’ve got this event coming up in August I’d love you to come, here’s a little bit of a teaser about it”. OK that’s the first one the second one might be “here are some photo’s from last week’s event.” …. or last season (etc) I’ll give you an example of how this works.     www.ZoomingInOnTwitter.com  (New Zealand Event)   I was speaking like this on the screen to a 178 people in the room, but my Tweets reached 4 million people that day. I tweeted and took some pictures of me tweeting and there’s pictures of me on the screen and we took some video and we put them on Twitter and with the retweeting I did, this idea of sharing I tweet something, someone picks it up and shares it out their folks pick it up and share it out.   In one day my tweets reached 4 million people.     About an event in New Zealand.     So the value proposition of twitter and probably also Social Media is that if you’re in an environment where you need to promote your stuff then social media is a fast efficient and cost effective way of getting the word out to masses...
HOW TO SHARE YOUR STORY ON A LIMITED BUDGET

HOW TO SHARE YOUR STORY ON A LIMITED BUDGET

Recently I was invited to speak at the “FUTURE OF SOCIAL MEDIA” conference here in Melbourne which was a lot of fun. I met so many great people on the day and also had the chance to find out about the latest Social Media strategies. How cool is that?   THE FUTURE OF SOCIAL MEDIA (2017)   I also had the great fortune to meet Miri Rodriguez from Microsoft and we chatted here about importance of storytelling for your business or startup. …. and how you can now create compelling videos on your smartphone or tablet. There are some compelling ideas here and I also talk about how I record and edit my videos as part of the “MAGIC MELBOURNIANS” video series.   ?   Keith Keller: So we’ve talked about storytelling as a powerful mechanism, but one of the big stories in the room today is budget Miri Rodriguez: Yeah Keith Keller: Can you explain a little bit about how people can enter the game, Miri Rodriguez: Yes Keith Keller: Without having to spend hundreds of thousands, or even hundreds of Dollars. I’ve got a Tablet, a Samsung Tablet, $50 stand, couple of hundred Dollars and we’re here. Miri Rodriguez: That’s it, and it’s as good as it can get. Honestly I love what you’re doing, and I love how you’re doing it, and showcasing it right now with this. At Microsoft, of course we have a bigger budget than a lot of people in this room have, and in reality, a lot of people come into these conferences and go: “Yeah great Microsoft, because you have the...

Facebook and Instagram campaigns were already forming a significant part of our client’s advertising mix, so we were keeping a keen eye on new social media platforms and trends. Personally, I was already a solid Facebook and LinkedIn fan, and an occasional Pinterest user. Facebook offered me a way to connect with friends and acquaintances around the world. LinkedIn was for grownup work related posts - often on the topic of social media, ironically. Pinterest was like a dirty little secret of sorts. A way to pin images of desserts with way too many calories, and a great way to share ideal home design ideas and dream travel destinations.   Snapchat Was Totally Foreign   Pacific’s Social Media Director demonstrated how a colourful rainbow could cascade out of your mouth if you used Snapchat’s face filter. It wasn’t long before we discovered the face swap function too and strange printouts of staff with their own hair, but their...

GUEST BLOG YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS

GUEST BLOG YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS

GUEST BLOG YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS Social Media Rockstar Tip By Karen Repoli    Sharing your knowledge on other peoples sites is actually a fantastic strategy to help your build your own brand. That means making sure that you create and maintain active (and mutually beneficial) relationships with influencers in your field of expertise and add value to their community. In return they will usually allow you to place links to your material at the bottom of your articles and they will share them with their “TRIBE” on Social Media. Classic “WIN/WIN” How Often Should You Post?    Ideally, you should be writing something everyday or so, but if article writing is not a passion of yours, make that “as often as possible”. There are other ways to contribute as well of course (Podcasts - Videos - etc) but article writing is still a great strategy for building authority. Don’t underestimate the power of regularity here as an effective part of your guest blogging strategy. Simply do as much as you can as often as you can. It all helps!! BUILD YOUR BRAND WITH GUEST BLOGGING

BUILD YOUR BRAND WITH GUEST BLOGGING

BUILD YOUR BRAND WITH GUEST BLOGGING Fantastic Guest Blog Here From Ann Smarty The concept of spending time and effort to write for someone else for free may seem weird: Many bloggers don’t like the idea of not being paid for such an effort. However we have seen so many people building up their startups and income thanks to writing for other sites that Guest writing is a crucial tool for any kind of professional online activity. Some of the ways it can be used are: Gaining traffic to your own website, whether a blog or a company site. Sharing content with a wider audience. Finding a new reader pool to dip into. Branding yourself as an expert in your field, by solidifying your authority. Publishing samples around the web to get you consulting or freelancing work later on. Possibly gaining attention from major media sources by piggy-backing on a more popular site. Building relationships with important industry contacts. Spreading your wings and showing your chops in a new niche. Trading posts with other bloggers/writers to diversify your own blog content for free. As you can see, the applications of this technique are pretty broad, and there are many benefits. How To Get Started The process can actually be broken down into steps. Step One - Isolate Your Niche You know those dozen things you know a lot about? Don’t go jumping into them all at once. You should be isolating the niche that you want to focus on, and become an authority there, first. So select a category that you most want to be known for. Then break...
