HOW TO MANAGE YOUR STRESS LEVELS Guest Blog Post By Jane Jackson My oldest and dearest friend recently told me I’ve got “Rushing Woman Syndrome”. I’d always thought that I was simply multi tasking with a bit of a frazzled appearance. She made me take a step back and look at all I was doing. I had to admit that I did have a bit of a wannabe Superwoman attitude. The problem was that I was doing so much that I was actually going around in circles and just was not as productive as I really wanted to be. I was creating social media posts, memes, inspirational quotes, career advice posts, using LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, SnapChat, YouTube, writing blog posts, writing e-newsletters, delivering workshops, delivering one-on-one coaching, conducting webinars, conducting podcast interviews … and on and on … I felt I was being productive but I wasn’t. While others easily relate with the protagonist, others are rooting for the antagonist. Regardless of the side of the fence you are sitting on, an interesting story usually catches the interest of people and retains their attention until the end. The brief illustration above shows how powerful storytelling can be particularly when done the right way. The art of storytelling is particularly helpful in content marketing campaigns and at Boomshare, we have realized this fact and put together ways of getting your business booming with storytelling. We look at the storytelling art as it relates to businesses and how it can be used by businesses to promote their brand. What Makes Your Story Great? A good story should be able to take the reader through the different stages, allowing the reader to relate easily with the events and characters of the story. A great story also has a main character with the major happenings revolving around him or her. The main character endures the most throughout the story and can be said to be the hero of the tale. Another feature of a great story is the background. The background here has to do particularly with your business. It also has to do with the setting in which the business exists or existed. In more technical...

THE JOURNEY SO FAR An interview With Jane Jackson Recently I was featured on Jane Jackson’s “AMAZING PODCAST” and it really gave me a great chance to reflect on the career changes that I have made over the years. I also got a chance to really appreciate those changes that were thrust upon me along the way. I have also spent some time this week segmenting the interview into smaller themes and getting them transcribed to make it easier to listen to as your time allows. If you prefer you can follow along by reading the questions and answers. WHERE IT ALL BEGAN (2REM FM) Podcasting really is my thing and the whole idea came about out of my love of radio. Here’s me doing my very first radio show in March 1982 at 2REM FM in Albury. I still have a recording of that first show (on cassette - lol) Jane Jackson: Welcome to my careers podcast, where I interview fascinating professionals who have made amazing career changes. Now, I am very fortunate to have, on the show, a twitter guru. This twitter guru is Keith Keller, who is now well known internationally as the Global Twitter Marketing Specialist. He is a popular speaker on the subject too. He’s appeared on numerous radio shows, teleseminars and webinars across the United States and Canada, UK and Europe as well as Australasia. His regular tweets, @KeithKeller, are testament to his passion for sharing the latest information about Twitter, as well as other social media platforms. He certainly has an ever growing list...
