THE POWER OF PODCASTING

THE POWER OF PODCASTING

THE POWER OF PODCASTING Anyone who knows me knows that I’m always on the go, running full steam ahead with various projects. It has been a real struggle to sit down and write anything for this blog (you’ll notice that I use a lot of pictures and podcasts on my previous ones). Until that little lightbulb went off in my head and I realised just how important this message is:   PLAY TO YOUR STRENGTHS   Okay, so I’m not the world’s most eager writer but I LOVE podcasting. And thankfully, more and more people are listening to podcasts these days. WHY? I mentioned how I’m always on the go, working on multiple things at once. People are extremely time poor – Today’s world is go-go-go! Not to mention, a lot of people are feeling the pinch which means people are commuting more and for longer periods of time. So, if you’re stuck on a train, bus, tram or even riding a book, would you rather:   A: Listen to the same old music you’ve been listening to for years. B: Stare aimlessly at your surroundings C: Learn something new   I’m not sure about you, but I’d choose C: Learn something new any day. Time is a precious commodity these days… If you haven’t already discovered podcasts, give them a shot. Here’s one that I did a few years ago now - Hope that it provides some inspiration  You never know, you might be so inspired by what you hear that you start your own.         OVER 30 MORE FREE PODCASTS HERE!!...
TOP TOOLS & TIPS FOR TWITTER

TOP TOOLS & TIPS FOR TWITTER

TOP TOOLS & TIPS FOR TWITTER A Guide For Newbies By Kate Hartley     Top Twitter Tips & Tools For Beginners (Fantastic Decoder Video)   I’m a newbie to Twitter.  Recently I’ve been building out the digital side of my business and I realized that I would need to harness social media in order to help to build trust around my products and the type of therapies I offer. I already had a Facebook page, so to create my Facebook fan page was a fairly simple process, but I had no idea about how to navigate Twitter nor about Twitter etiquette. The last thing I wanted to do was to create buzz about doing the wrong things at the wrong times. Why you need to listen to the Keith’s podcast!! “Crack the Twitter Code”      Around 9,000 tweets are tweeted every second.  That means 540,000 per minute and 780 million tweets per day!  Statista.com states that in the first quarter of 2016, Twitter has over 310 million active Twitter users.   These figures are huge and mean two things:   (1) That I need to know how to use Twitter effectively to make the most of belonging to a massive social media platform and (2) That among all these tweets, how was I going to get my tweets seen and even better, lead to links to my website and blog, likes and retweets?   The Crack the Twitter Code podcast has taught me everything I need to know about using Twitter effectively from setting up a strong bio to using tools to analyze and enhance my and...

BE YOURSELF ALWAYS!!

BE YOURSELF ALWAYS!!

BE YOURSELF ALWAYS!! YOUR TRIBE WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT!!   When you are an entrepreneur, you need to have an online presence whether you have a brick and mortar storefront or a primary online business. As much as some people may not want to accept it, social media is here to stay. With that said, how is an entrepreneur to approach social media? What guidelines is an entrepreneur to follow? If you are an entrepreneur who spends any amount of time on social media, I’ve got two simple rules for you to follow so that your followers and clients will find you and stick with you.   Be Yourself   Once you find your specific niche of the service or product that you offer, and you know who your ideal customer is, then what? Well, the key is pretty simple. Just be you. Be true to who you are, whether that’s in your branding, marketing, your videos, interacting with current clients, speaking with potential clients, creating your offerings, writing your posts, blogging or posting on your website. I mean every.single.thing. Be yourself in everything you do. You are still saying, “What does that mean to just be me?” The easiest way to explain is to give you examples. Serena Williams. Johnny Depp. Carrot Top. Kim Kardashian. Sean Penn. Beyonce. What do they have in common? They all are just being themselves. They dress how they want, look how they want, express their opinion whether you like it or not. They basically are just who they are and could care less what you think. Sure, they are smart with...
THE POWER OF STRATEGIC ALLIANCES

THE POWER OF STRATEGIC ALLIANCES

THE POWER OF STRATEGIC ALLIANCES Guest Blog Post By Stephanie Ward  One of the most effective ways to market your products or services is to create strategic alliances. Strategic alliances are partnerships with companies who sell to a client base similar to yours but they sell different products and services. The idea is to find partners whose clients may also be interested in your products/services. Many times people will casually agree to spread the word about each other’s products and services. This is the idea of ‘you send me clients and I will send you clients.’ But this approach is rarely effective and here’s why.   Why Casual Agreements Don’t Work   (1) The agreement is vague and undefined. (2) One or both people may not fully understand what the other does. (3) People are busy and forget. (4) Both people may be waiting to ‘get something’ first before they get into action to help the other. (5) One person may be more interested than the other. (6) There may be a higher value for one person than the other. To eliminate all of these issues, simply create a specific offer for potential strategic alliance partners. Offer to give something to your partners for every person they refer to you who ends up purchasing your products or services. This can be a percentage of your fee or total purchase, some of your products or services, or something else you mutually agree upon. The motivation for partners to send you clients isn’t only about what they will get in return. It is just a way to thank them for their...

BLOGGING FOR BUSINESS @KarenRepoli Five (5) Ways To Attract Your Ideal Client With Blogging

BLOGGING FOR BUSINESS Five Ways To Attract Your Ideal Client With Blogging The Anatomy of a Blog Post Sharing your blog posts and links across social media is a stellar strategy to establish your social media rock star status.  This doesn’t mean endlessly posting blog titles with links. It means creating and maintaining active social media business pages then and including your blog link and other social network URLs. Make sure your blog post lives up to your readers expectations and matches the “voice” and persona you’re presenting on the social platforms are on. How do you get your target audience to notice you? What will bring Jane Ideal Client to your social media profile and, ultimately, your website so she can see how valuable it would be to work with you or buy your product?  One of the best ways to accomplish this is to start blogging. Don’t know the first thing about blogging? No worries, I’m here to help. Here are the basics of formatting a blog post: Remember to keep it simple, include plenty of white space. You may have to break up paragraphs in places that you don’t feel comfortable doing so, but it’s all about readability and not correct format like in a college or school paper. Include pictures that are relevant to the blog post, and always fill in the “alt” information for the picture. The best thing to enter in the “alt” field is the title of the post or your business/website name. For example, I include HIT Virtual in my pictures. Use plenty of bullet points, headlines, h1 and h2 headers....
